Easily one of my favorite venues to work in, The Pratt Place Inn is an extremely unique venue option for todays modern bride. I've photographed weddings there, as well as just receptions, however, most of my clients that get married at the Pratt Place, do so because of the all-in-one option that they offer. In my opinion, it's one of the best non traditional wedding venues available in NWA. Aside from the Inn, the property offers a classical gambrel roof barn in the adjacent pasture. This is what closes the deal for me. Weather you want the Inn, the Barn, or both, the staff at PPI will take care of you. You can find out more at www.prattplaceinn.com

One of the best parts of graduating with an Art degree is meeting all the other amazing artists that are in your field of study while you're there. I have friends working from Tampa Fl. to Chicago, New York, Seattle and so on. Of course I'm the guy who ended up staying in Arkansas, you don't have to remind me :) It's an awesome feeling to know that I shared ideas with a lot of these ultra creative peeps. Many times when I'm burnt with what I'm doing and feel as though the vendor world is calling my name, I'll check out the portfolios of my peers. It's a good reminder of why exactly I ended up in the creative industry. We love what we do! Soooo, with that and with their permission, every now and then I'm going to plug for them. We have a ton of readers, hopefully you guys will end up supporting some of them like you support me.

First up, John Holcomb. Probably one of the more creative (and talented) guys I've ever met in my life, John is a Professional Freelance Illustrator. For those of you who aren't really sure what that is, you MUST check out his link: www.shorthandedstudio.com. Illustration, in my opinion, is one of the greatest forms of art in the world. In heavy doses it requires incredible amounts of creative thought, technical ability in every art medium (drawing, painting, mixed media, digital and so on) and a "go get em" type of attitude. In my opinion, only the best have the guts to try and make it as an illustrator. I tried majoring in Illustration, after sitting next to John one semester I dropped out and moved to Graphic Design. Thanks John, you're awesome, keep up the hard work!

If you want to see some of John's work FIRSTHAND :) come to our studio here in Downtown Bentonville. I'm the proud owner of a "United Plate." Arkansas that is...yummy. Check it readers, you won't regret it!

John's work rocks. Abby and I picked up a full set when we got back to the States in August and it is pretty much the coolest thing we own.
Now to find a wall space big enough...

We're getting closer and closer to the official opening of our new studio Downtown Bentonville. For 2 months people have been hearing the sounds of demolition and staring at brown paper that's covering the store front windows. Hopefully in the next two - three weeks we'll be ready to open the doors! Abby and I have really put our whole hearts and all of our energy toward this, hopefully we'll be able to spread the love with this great new venue! Today Tyler & Jess dropped by with their new nephew, Maddox, so I had to play, of course. Enjoy!

Every fall marks the beginning of our High School Senior busy season. I told our graphic designer Lizzie to put together something simple to hand out, but of course, she stitches together something amazing. Call us for amazing photos, spread the word!
