July 16, 2009 // Life / Personal
Abby and I returned home yesterday from our vacation / honeymoon / destination wedding! It was nice to see the dog, I was starting to wonder whether he'd remember me or not ... he did. The trip was amazing! Not only did we get to photograph an amazing wedding in Watercolor, FL, but we met up with our best friends Kim and Nick right after that and bunked in their parent's sexy Villa, roughly 30 feet from the amazing Rosemary Beach, FL.

I'm back in the office and working on several different things, including one very big surprise. (More on that later ;) I figured now that my life will be getting back to what we might call "normal", I'd go ahead and give a HUGE thanks to all of our amazing clients--PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE! I'm extremely lucky to be involved in all of this and blessed to know all of you. I'm on track to shoot my 100th wedding in 4 years sometime next summer and it's all because of you guys. With that, (once we announce the big surprise) we'll be offering several promotions that could land many of you tons of free stuff. So hang on and KEEP READING (AND POSTING). Don't forget to spread the word, Thanks!

Leave it up to me to "delay" our honeymoon because of work. Ha, I can't help that I love what I do! And still, we get here and I have to shoot a wedding. Emily and Jonah (who's engagement pics you'll find in an earlier post) are getting married here in Watercolor, FL! It's amazing out here, lots and lots to do! They hooked us up with our new favorite spot, the "SURF SHACK" in Dune Allen, FL. Here's a few from our first day here, I'll update as often as Abby will let me. Enjoy!

So, as one of Apple's biggest fans, I'm always staying current with the beautiful technology that they continually produce, time after time....after time. On the flip-side, I've never been a real big fan of PC's. Not because they're ugly (and we all know they're ugly), but primarily because they don't function how they're supposed to and never really have. Most (99%) PC's are plastic and have a real hard time lasting anyone longer than 1-2 years (lucky you if yours has made it 3, I would start shopping around now for something new). In contrast, every aluminum (yes, they're aluminum, even the newest $999.00 MacBook) will last 3-5 years easy, virus free. Weigh the options my friends...$699.00 for a plastic PC that doesn't function properly and that you'll buy at least twice before having to replace a gorgeous Apple, or $999.00 aluminum Mac that does everything you want to do (and more) and looks while doing it.

I could argue all day really, but the reason for this post was to point all my Mac friends in the direction of Macrumors.com, where you'll find everything, before everybody else. Enjoy!

Do those regions bikes actually exist? I would love to get me one of those. And beautiful pictures by the way. Definitely makes me want to go to the beach.

There comes a time when technology and products you love (even things you REALLY REALLY love) have to be replaced. That time has come for my 2005 PowerMac G5 :( This may seem stupid, but I'm kind of attached to this puppy. Without it's ridiculous power, I without a doubt wouldn't be where I am as a photoartist. However, with the much anticipated release of Apple's new Mac Pro Nehalem Edition, it was time to upgrade. I typically hang on to vintage equipment, especially stuff that I'm attached to, but these computers hold there value too well, so I needed to let it go to help compensate for the sky high price of the new one. Go here if you're interested in getting rid of your crappy PC and switching to a MAC, you won't regret it :) Here's a few pics and comparisons...enjoy.
