Cake. Who the flip doesn't love a big, hunkin slice of white wedding cake?! I have 2-3 slices minimum. In fact, while everyone else is loading up on roast, potatoes, veggies and delicious cheese squares...the photographer (me) is hanging out by the cake. Perhaps one of the most popularly important formalities of the nights is cutting the cake, right? I guess it makes sense then, that most of today's brides are going all out. Did you know that before the wedding cake came to be, it was custom for the Groom to break a loaf of bread over the Bride's head for good luck in their marriage?!?! Imagine today's Grooms smashing a big slice of buttercream goodness over the head of their new brides :) Every photographers dream I'm sure.
